Meet Our Hunting Guides

Jason Sturgill is the owner of NC Hunting Guide and has been enjoying the outdoors his entire life. 

Jason has been hunting game for fifteen years in Western NC.  About 8 years ago, he began to give guided hunts through these mountains. 

He is an avid hunter and loves to guide, he always looks forward to giving everyone a successful hunt. 

In the off season Jason and the staff are scouting for game trails, as well as maintaining the lodge and the lands.  They are continually searching for new property to purchase in order to expand the hunting grounds.

Living in Ashe county his whole life has given Jason a great love for the outdoors.  Throughout his childhood, his Dad brought him up experiencing the mountains.  It did not take long for Jason to get involved with hunting and find his passion.

Jason and his father have traveled several places on hunting trips such as Colorado, Montana, Alaska, and different parts of Canada.  They have been fortunate to have hunted many great animals with both gun and bow including Bear, Moose, Elk, Deer and Turkey.  During his Montana hunt in 2004, Jason took a black bear with his bow that made it into the record books of Pope and Young.
